No. Love Yourself Slim™ is not a diet, nor is it a specific exercise regime. It is a proven weight management program in which we uncover the blocks to your weight loss and eradicate self-sabotaging behaviour. Of course, there are many great nutrition and exercise plans out there and we're happy to recommend some of them to you in the process.

But most people already know what to do; they just don't seem to be able to find the strength and resources to do it. The Love Yourself Slim™ program will help you take back your power and find the inner resources you need to lose weight permanently.

Physical, mental and emotional distress can be attributed to underlying anxiety and stress arising from an imbalance between your conscious beliefs and desires and the belief systems that exist below conscious awareness in the subconscious mind. Therefore, even though you may consciously want to lose weight, there may be one or more reasons to hold onto the weight hidden in your subconscious mind that cause you to continually self-sabotage.

Your Love Yourself Slim™ therapist employs powerful analytical techniques that allow direct access to your underlying belief systems. The process is very pleasant and relaxing, and your consultations are specifically tailored to treat your individual issues and the core subconscious beliefs that contribute to your inability to lose weight. You can then begin to make the changes you need to make to your automatic behaviour so that you can easily achieve permanent weight loss.

In fact, we can't make you do anything that you don't want to do. We can't make you cluck like a chicken or bark like a dog, and we can't make you do the work you need to do to lose the weight either - that's up to you.

What we will do is put you in touch with some really powerful inner resources that help you to reach and maintain your ideal weight. You will still be able to enjoy all the foods you love, but without that gnawing need to fill a hole in your life by overeating. You will learn to listen to your body and make friends with your appetite, and you will learn to motivate yourself to enjoy regular exercise.

No. Weight management is a choice, and in order to lose weight you must be expending more energy than you intake. While the Love Yourself Slim™ program will assist you to get in touch with that amazingly strong part of you that knows how to achieve your goals, it is ultimately you who must make the fundamental changes to your current lifestyle. If what you are doing right now isn't working, you must do something different.

There are a few reasons why hypnosis may not work for you. Firstly, no amount of hypnosis will work unless you are truly willing to commit to making a permanent lifestyle change. If you continue with your current eating and exercise habits, then you will stay at your current weight.

Secondly, all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. If you do not trust your therapist, you will not allow yourself to go into a state of self-hypnosis, and therefore the suggestions that are designed to help you make the change will not reach the deep subconscious mind.

Finally, you will notice that Love Yourself Slim™ is a program, not a ‘quick-fix'. When you join our program, you commit to three one hour sessions, and you agree to listen to a 30 minute hypnosis recording at home in between consultations. You are also encouraged to adopt the suggested strategies that are given to you by your therapist. We set personal goals for you, and we work with you every step of the way to help you achieve those goals.

When your doctor prescribes you a course of antibiotics, you don't just take one or two. You are required to finish the course, regardless of whether you are feeling better right away or not. Each session in the Love Yourself Slim™ program is designed to build on the last, with the suggestions having a cumulative effect. Unless you complete the program in full, you will not gain the benefits required for permanent weight loss.

You have probably been in a state of hypnosis many times throughout your life without even knowing it. We spend about 90% of our day in a hypnotic trance, and this is a normal and natural state that is achievable by everybody.

Maybe you sometimes drive to work and then realise that you have almost no recall of the journey. Or maybe you have had the experience of sitting in a boring meeting at work and you missed everything that went on because you were daydreaming about something else.

In both of these examples, you are in a trance state. Just like daydreaming, you are aware of your surroundings when you are under hypnosis, and it's normal and natural to hear and remember everything your therapist says during the session.

No. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. Since we all enter a trance state every day, there is nobody who cannot be hypnotised. However, if you do not trust your therapist, or if for some reason you do not wish to enter a state of hypnosis, you will not do so. You are in control.

No. In fact, nobody can "make" you do anything that you would not normally have a predisposition to do. You are in control at all times, and you can choose to end the session at any point. There are no "hidden doorways" to your deepest and darkest secrets available to any therapist, and hypnosis is not a 'truth serum'.
